In response to several requests, we’re proud to announce that we will be tracking produce grown in school gardens for the 2011 season!
In New York City there are a lot of young school gardening projects and many of them are brand new. By keeping tabs through Crop Count and/or Harvest Count, school gardeners can document the amount of food they grow as a classroom activity.
The data harvested from school gardens will help us document the growing number of school gardens citywide, adding each school’s endeavors together to create a larger picture.
Sign up your school or community garden for the 2011 Crop Count!
