Mappers’ Map

Officially launching the new Farming Concrete Mappers’ Map!
Over the next 4-5 weeks we need to make all of the blue points GREEN. Many of you have asked how to get involved for just a few hours or just one weekend – here’s how!

Take a few hours this weekend, after work, or whenever you have time to map your garden (or if you’re not a garden member, to visit a few of these gardens), sketch out a plot map, and, most importantly, take crop inventory.

Mapping urban agriculture is really fun, and you may be surprised at the incredible variety of yummy edibles we can grow in NYC. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email volunteer(at)farmingconcrete(dot)com with which gardens you can take on, and we’ll send you very very detailed instructions (please don’t go mapping before checking in with us!).

For a brief overview, see our post on mapping.

Key:
Blue = not yet mapped
Green = mapped
Yellow = someone plans to map soon
Pink = no food, mostly botanical
(you may need to zoom in to see locations in more detail)
